WHO WE ARE
MBC Peace & Development is a departmental wing under the Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC). MBC is a non-profit, secular and non-governmental organization actively engaging in the development sector. MBC Peace & Development is committed to promote spiritual growth, community service, and social development since the inception of its existence. Our work is mainly focus on capacity building for peace, natural resource management, Business management skill & Income Generation Programme, Nature Care, Child wellbeing and Relief work.

Our vision is to promote love, unity, peace and service to all the communities in Manipur and beyond as part of fulfilling the Great Commission of Jesus Christ.
Mission
MBC Peace & Development Promotes peace & sustainable development, rendering humanitarian and social services, taking up educational and health care programs, caring for the stigmatized and less fortunate in the society, maintaining peace and harmonious co-existence, preserving environment and ecology, cooperating with related Christian bodies and networking with other like-minded organizations.
MBC Peace & Development Department is Committed to:
- Providing quality of life through peace, justice, and livelihood.
- Recognizing the value of non-violence and respect for human rights.
- Strengthening the capacity of communities for participatory activities for economic empowerment by enhancing their livelihood opportunities and income generation through farm and non-farm activities.
- Promoting collective action through community-based organization for economic and social purposes.
- Promoting partnership and linkages with organizations and Local, Regional, National, and international bodies.
- Engaging in Eco-system management including Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptation CCA).
- Empowerment of vulnerable and excluded group through appropriate sustainable livelihood options.
- Providing humanitarian aid to places that have been incited by natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, and man-made disasters.
